Ecstatic Dance Cheltenham lifts you into high energy through embodied, free-form movement, and then gently brings you back into balance with a Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath.

Carole will invite you in circle to tune into your body with breathing and movement and will hold space during the event and bring a close to the event with a Yoga Nidra.

The DJ of the night is DJ Julie Jones, she is the alias of Giulia, an Italian-Eritrean artist and DJ blending afro house, tribaltechno, progressive, and world music infused with electronic beats into deep, earthy, and uplifting journeys. Her sound unites ancestral percussion, groovy basslines, and atmospheric soundscapes, transporting listeners into a space where rhythm, spirit, and dance connect.Having performed at renowned festivals and venues across Melbourne and interstate. Julie has become known for her ability to craft sets that are both grounding and ecstatic. 

Over the years, she has shaped a sound that is distinctly her own, honouring her Eritrean roots while layering rich tribal loops with hypnotic electronic textures. She is the co-founder of The Magic Garden Festival and a resident DJ within the ecstatic dance community, curating transformative dancefloor experiences that invite presence and release. For Julie, music is more than a beat, it is a call to connect, celebrate, and journey together. Guided by her heritage, her deep understanding of ecstatic dance, and her passion for percussive, powerful sounds, she aspires to lead audiences into mystical realms that echo the essence of primordial rhythms.

We then ease into the evening at a slower, restful pace, with Carole guiding Yoga Nidra to bring you back into a space of balance. Yoga Nidra is a guided deep practice that brings the body into complete relaxation, while the mind remains gently aware, restoring balance and calm to the nervous system.

Then Julie gently takes over with the Alchemy Crystal singing bowls and a 528Hz Energy Chime bar to guide you into your heart centre. The space will be filled with high frequencies of compassion, pure unconditional love and divine light, as we will channel universal infusion of Reiki energy for the collective while you journey through time and space within yourself.
